Firefly Lane was released on Netflix in February 2021, and people immediately tuned in to understand what the drama series was about.
The well-known cast certainly did the job if the plot wasn’t sufficient to reel viewers in. Now people are thinking about when Firefly Lane season 2 will likely land.
The drama series involves inseparable best friends, namely Tully and Kate, who met on Firefly Lane as young teens and quickly established an unbreakable bond that takes them through 30 years of ups and downs.
It was created by Maggie Friedman, who was well known as the showrunner and executive producer on the short-lived Lifetime series – Witches of East End. Similar to a lot of other Netflix original series, Firefly Lane is based on a book, and it’s a television adaptation of the novel, which has a similar name by Kristin Hannah.
It required three months from when the first season was released on Netflix for the streamer to restore the drama series for a second season, which wasn’t extraordinary but was nerve-racking for fans. Then, three months later, they started shooting for Firefly Lane season 2. Production was known to have ended on April 28th, 2022, and fans have been waiting for Netflix to declare the official release date. Although there is no information regarding the release date yet, some predictions can still be made.
There might not be an official release date for Firefly Lane season 2 yet, but we know the release year. When Netflix declared the renewal back in May 2021, the steamer also proclaimed that the second season would be coming in 2022. Katherine Heigl even shared on her Instagram that Firefly Lane season 2 would be coming in 2022, back in November 2021.
