Emily the Criminal, starring Aubrey Plaza, arrived at the theatres on August 12th, 2022.

John Patton Ford wrote and directed Emily the Criminal. Ford makes his directorial debut with this movie. Earlier, he produced a short film called Patrol.

Tyler Davidson, Plaza, and Drew Sykes are involved as producers, along with Dexter Braff, Kevin Flanigan, Angus Wall, Kent Kubena, Lowell Shapiro, and Mike Dill working as executive producers. Low Spark Films financed this movie in association with Fear Knot Productions.

The crime thriller is based on a woman named Emily, who’s down on her luck and in serious debt until one day until she gets a shady gig as a “dummy shopper,” which proves to be a credit card scam.

Although she started to make quick cash, Emily soon realized that black-market capitalism had deadly consequences. Alongside Plaza, the cast comprises Theo Rossi, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Gina Gershon, Jonathan Avigdori, Bernardo Badillo, John Billingsley, and Brandon Sklenar.

Is Emily the Criminal on Netflix?

No. Emily the Criminal will join Netflix on Wednesday, December. 7th, 2022. However, the streamer has not officially talked about its release date, so there’s a chance it may be false. Once Netflix announces its list of new movies and shows coming in December 2022, we can confirm the date.
