Long-time rapper Nipsey Hussle was shot dead outside his store in Los Angeles on March 31. An outcry of support and respect from his fans has emerged since then.

We have seen plenty of people pay homage to the late rapper, from NBA superstar Kawhi Leonard, to fellow singer Beyonce who attended is memorial in Los Angeles. The killing of the artist has left an unsettling taste in the mouths of many.

In a series of photographs captured by Jake Janisse, you can see the fans of Hussle lining the streets by the thousands, outside of the rapper’s store. These photos were captured as the hearse carrying the casket drove by.

You can see the civilians standing on cars, climbing street poles, and lining the roofs of buildings before the memorial service. The large crowd remained uneasy though. A video showed the sea of supporters barreling over the barriers along the street. The fans even pushed a news reporter out of the way in the midst of the chaos.
