Check Out Which Songs Dominate The Globe, Thanks To This Interactive Map!

Music is one of the things that we as humans have in common, there is a universal love for music, it is culturally important and there are some absolute bangers out there at the moment! However, it was only until recently that I branched out with regards to music tastes to some more unorthodox genres such as KPOP (which if you don’t listen to KPOP you are missing out!)

However, thanks to The Pudding, a website which explains ideas with visual essays, (don’t be discouraged, their essays are visual and interactive, made to entertain and inform). They have created an interactive map that enables us to see the most popular songs from around the globe.

The map presents No.1  songs based on youtube plays from December 2017, within 3000 countries, is so helpful in showcasing different brands of music that different countries enjoy listening to, it is very educational, we have been sleeping on Russian Bops!

The map which can be accessed here, wants us to discover the cultural borders of music and it does a great job!
