We know you are anxiously awaiting the third season of Stranger Things. Though a release date hasn’t been set, there is still good news. Alongside the upcoming season will be a Stranger Things video game!
Netflix likes to tease. And tease us they have with the next season of Stranger Things. Among some of the sneak peeks we’ve gotten about the series’ third season are the episode titles, new characters, and – of course – bigger and better monsters. The people over at Stranger Things have also previewed a retro-esque video game that ties in with the show.
The game was revealed at the 2018 Game Awards, and it looks pretty neat. Designed with pixel art, the game features an isometric layout and cooperative play. So far, we know Jim Hopper and Joyce Byers will be rendered as playable characters.
From teasers about the show, it seems like a Hawkins shopping mall will be a main setting for the action. The mall is featured in the game as well! Wonder what mischief Eleven and the gang will be getting into this time around.
The Stranger Things 3 game will be released on PS4, XBoxOne, Mac, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There will also be a streamlined version for mobile users. In previous years, the show has had a fall release date, but hopefully we can expect the series and its affiliated game to be here around summer of 2019. We’ve missed you, Dart!
