From writing songs for local pizzeria ads to filming mini-documentaries with Vice, Bad Boy Chiller Crew resonates with audiences across the UK with its sober nature and jackass-style humor.

The Yorkshire-based rap and bassline collective seem to be most successful trio of goalkeepers of our present day. With their mark already made on their debut mixtape Full Wack No Breaks just last year which culminated in 150 million streams, the BBCC are all set up for an explosive phase in their career.

Just last year, Bradford locals Gareth Kelly (GK), Kane Welsh and Sam Robinson (Clive) joined forces and decided to break through the pandemic blockade with a debut single, which received over 14 million views (and counting) on YouTube.  And though this lockdown-inspired creative burst has garnered many musical artists heaps of success during these two years, no one else has done it quite like them. To think that before their influx of hype and following they were getting by driving an ice-cream van, DJing at the weekend and packing boxes in a warehouse, their achievements are more than worthy of praise.

As the Northerners enjoy their newfound fame and experience touring for the first time, they’ve also recently signed to Relentless Records – where Headie One and Bryson Tiller are also on the roster – and have garnered over 30 million streams on Spotify.

A press release about their new documentary-style show reports: “The series will follow the working-class, Northern lads on their journey to stardom, taking viewers on a trip to Bradford and beyond, for the biggest summer of the boys’ lives as they tour the UK for the first time.”

According to ITV, the series will “spotlight on their music, their fans, their friendship but also their lives back home as they juggle fame with sticking to their roots. The in-your-face six-parter will be as provocative and noisy as it is mischievous and joyous.”
