Danielle Frankel: She never misses—an upcoming wedding designer who brings a new level to the meaning of luxury.
Frankel is known for her eccentric pieces, which set her collections apart from other upcoming designers. Not all of her dresses scream ‘Disney princess’, and that is what I love most about her collection. They are regal and classic but also have a whimsical aura to them. Every bride in Danielle Frankel will be stared at in awe. They will look cool and stand out without a doubt.
There is a piece for everyone on their special day, regardless of whether it’s the main ceremony dress, rehearsal, or even just the second look of the evening.
VI Collection
The Sona dress is part of Frankel’s VI Collection. It is Frankel’s most beautiful and effortlessly chic design.
The bustier piece is one of her most recognizable designs. It combines modern fashion with timeless elegance under a light ivory shade. The lace trim that flows down into the tulle skirt, over the pantsuit, adds a vintage touch of modesty to the design. The lace looks as though it is flowing into, and from, the bustier. This accentuates the female figure and adds dimension to the overall piece.
The Frankel Effect: Featured in Vogue Wedding
Actress Alexandra Daddario wore a Danielle Frankel piece for her Louisianna wedding.
The internet stopped when she posted an image on Instagram during the summer of 2022.
She appeared in the midst of a bustling ride in the middle of the gold rush. The white lace of the dress sent a shock down every future wife’s spine. Everyone rushed to see where the dress was from and made appointments at the Danielle Frankel bridal store in NYC.
The dress is everything, but so is Daddario. The satin slip style of the dress brings an Audrey Hepburn feel to the design. The lacy straps and the crimpy element of the design, make it timelessly regal.
VII Collection
The Leith piece from Frankel’s VII collection is what dreams are made of.
The silk ballgown is nothing but perfection. The design screams regal, while also being elegant.
The thin straps with the triangular cups stream into a tight corset pieced. These then sink into the whimsical gown. The added belt is not part of the original design but it adds texture and can be adjusted to fit the personality of the bride. The ivory tone of the dress can also be glamorized with layers of pearls and dangly earrings.
The Designer: Danielle Frankel Hirsch
The mastermind behind all of these nostalgic designs is Danielle Frankel Hirsch. She studied at the Parsons School of Design in NYC and went on to work for the design team at Vera Wang.
She started her own business in 2017, creating all her designs in the Garment District in NYC.
In an interview with Emilia Petrarca, Hirsh discusses how a future bride’s personality will always match a dress.
“We’ll be like, ‘Oh that girl? She was totally a Leona girl. Or, she was a Leith girl, and you would have died“.
Danielle Frankel Hirsch
There is a piece for everyone! Going to the studio in New York is only half the experience of finding the right dress. The designers are there to help every bride find The One. Wedding dresses are some of the most expensive pieces many may ever purchase, which can cause hesitancy, but with Danielle Frankel, it is never a miss.
After the Elizabeth James Aesthetic?
Elizabeth James in The Parent Trap is the inspiration for every ‘classic’ bride.
Her aesthetic has been on bride’s mood boards since the film was released in 1998. The photoshoot scene at the bridal store plays rent-free in our minds and everyone talks about buying an “Elizabeth James”.
Danielle Frankel has made this job easy. The same timeless and simple style that the fictional character brought to the film dominates her collection. Frankel’s designs are effortlessly cool and classy.Â
So rest assured, all future brides who crave 90s elegance will only need one appointment to find their dress.
The Second-Look of the Wedding Evening
The second look of the evening does need to be more tame. It should be taken as an opportunity to wear a design which is just as stunning.
For example, the Lana from Frankel’s VII Collection is an absolute show-stopper. It is decked with baroque pearls and sequins, surrounding an A-line neckline. The dress speaks for itself, and the designer’s vintage inspiration is evident in the ‘Roaring 20s’ aura that surrounds the piece.
Danielle Frankel continues to amaze and mark her path in the bridal industry. So keep an eye out for her next collection!
