Elon Musk is one of the most talked about public figures of the last few years. This is mostly due to his wild success in his company Tesla and out of these world aspirations— colonization on Mars?
Recently, it has come to the medias attention that Musk is making a lot of money, and by a lot I mean potentially trillions. Musk started off as an entrepreneur practically from birth.
Over the years he has invested and funded numerous companies, all of which had had great success. Before he reached the age of 30, he had already acquired 22 million dollars. Now, he holds a net worth of 38.8 billion dollars.
Can can he go from 38 billion to a trillion? Possibly. As technology reaches a new high everyday, and the many companies he holds stocks in continue to grow, including his own companies, his wealth could become exponential.
This isn’t going to happen anytime soon and I hope it never does. Elon Musk could give every person in the US a thousand dollars and still have a few billion dollars to spare. The wealth divide between the rich and the poor is at an all time high. The 1% and the 99% is quickly turning into the 0.1% and the 99.9%.
People in the US and around the entire world are feeling the effects of this greed. People like Elon Musk are destroying the economy and hoarding more wealth than is even conceivable. If all the billionaires in the world gave up even 10% of their net worth or chose to invest in the future of humanity instead of the future of themselves we wouldn’t have to think about moving to Mars.
Our Planet is in dire need of our help, but the greed of billionaires and men with overinflated egos is what’s causing our forest to burn and our oceans to go empty. If Elon Musk took all the money he puts into useless space exploration and chose to contribute to the climate crisis, he could help trillions of people in generations to come. To me, the longevity of humanity and the respect of our planet is worth a lot more than an ugly Cybertruck.
