A new featurette has been dropped for the highly anticipated film ‘The Eternals’ this week. The behind-the-scenes video has been released a month before the film’s debut on November 5 in the United States. This video includes major stars of the film; Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Gemma Chan, who discuss the blockbuster film directed by Oscar-winner Chloé Zhao.

The film follows a group of unearthly heroes that have protected Earth since the creation of man. However, when monstrous creatures called the Deviants, believed to be extinct, mysteriously return and threaten the human population, the heroes are forced to reunite and save Earth once again.

The stellar cast includes Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as the all-powerful Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Brian Tree Henry as Phastos, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and Lauren Ridloff as Makkari.

The film also features Barry Keoghan, Kit Harrington, Dane Whitman, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie as the warrior Thena.

During the featurette, Jolie remarks this film will make us think twice about superheroes, “A lot of people will see themselves as superheroes”.

Jolie believes there is a lot of relatability to the characters and that altogether the superheroes are just really a “dysfunctional family unit.”

Gemma Chan also tuned in that she thinks there is a lovely message being portrayed in this movie, “It really is an epic global film.”

Considering this is a Marvel movie and with such a stellar cast and its release date less than a month away, this film seems to have been kept under the radar. In many ways, it makes its release far more exciting as a new group of heroes join the Marvel cinematic universe.
