Post Malone is known for creating hit after hit in the music industry, but recently, he’s temporarily hung up the mic, and instead replaced it with a charitable jacket. He has donated 10,000 pairs of Crocs from his line to frontline US health workers.
The collaboration between Crocs and Malone, Post Malone x Crocs Duet Max Clog II, sold out pretty damn quickly after its release in December of last year. The unisex line came in a black and pink colorway with Post Malone branded rivets and lanyard clips.
Despite Malone’s FIFTH sold-out collection with Crocs, he has managed to find 10,000 pairs to donate to frontline health workers across seventy hospitals in the United States. The shoes will help workers complete their long shifts with comfortable footwear.
COVID-19 has swept across America rampantly, with the U.S now having one of the highest infection rates in the world, with over 350,000 people now dead from the virus. Considering this, Malone and the organisation Musician’s On Call, who provide live and recorded music to patients in the hospital, wanted to give something back to workers at this time.
The donation already seems to be making an impact, and Musicians on Call explained its purpose on Instagram:

Crocs are particularly popular with healthcare workers because they are durable, and most importantly, comfortable, paramount when you’re on your feet for a 12-hour shift. They are also easily cleaned and disinfected.
Post Malone is yet to comment on the donation, but frankly, there is no requirement for him to do so. Not every gesture needs an explanation or post behind it. Workers will appreciate the artist’s kind and thoughtful gesture nevertheless.
2020 was an incredible year sales wise for Crocs. They raked in around $1.4 billion, largely credited to the changing styles of spending and wear during the pandemic.
