Universal Studio’s newest roller-coaster will take you millions of years back in time. Before even the first human struck together flint and stone to make fire.
The Velocicoaster, inspired by the Jurassic World films has recently been announced. The ride will be housed in Universal Studios Orlando. It features 4700 feet in track length and reaches 155ft in height.
In addition to being almost a mile long and nearly 200ft high, this ride includes a total of four inversions and two “intense launches”
Above is conceptual footage of the path the coaster will take. There’s a ton of turns and flipping around, what draws my eye the most is the tall peak near the end of the video. This looks nothing short of exciting but will this truly be the “Apex Predator of coasters” or a forgettable experience? only time will tell. One thing’s for sure, this doesn’t appear to the kind of ride you’d want to take if you’ve got a weak stomach. (This is probably the closest we’re gonna get to a true Jurassic Park for a while.)
Some might get the urge pack up and fly over to the theme park right now. I urge you to put such a trip on hold. One reason, we’re still in a pandemic, and secondly, the ride won’t be here until summer 2021. So you’ve got some time to save up before this attraction because ready for the public.
