Canadian born rapper Drake known for hits such as ‘Nice for What’ and ‘Controlla’ has paid $600k for two chains sporting pendants of Tupac, one of Drake’s inspirations.

Drake’s mammoth purchase features 70 carats of white and yellow diamonds as well as over half a kilogram of gold. The pendants cost $300k each and were purchased from @Jasonofbeverlyhills on Instagram who posted a video of the dazzling chains along with a caption “Thank you @champagnepapi for trusting us with this project. Unbelievable honour to help pay homage to the legend Tupac Shakur.”

Drake has been known to splash out frequently on lavish purchases and these twin pendants are no exception. Previously Drake has spent money on solid gold Jordan’s, which cost almost $2 million, a Boeing 767 aircraft, and several Rolex watches, showing his penchant for luxury.

This purchase seems more meaningful to Drake than his Rolexes though – he has expressed a clear respect for Tupac Shakur, who is thought to have died in 1996, he even claimed that he felt flattered by a sign that said “Less Drake, More Tupac” and ended up paying $6,000 for it
