Once Upon A Time In Hollywood Is The Only Film You Need To See This Summer

Tarantio’s ninth film is everything a summer release should be, but often is not: original.

In a market saturated with remakes and franchise cash cows, Tarentino’s ninth film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is a revelatory and unique summer movie-going experience.

If you’re anything like me, announcements of remakes and revivals induce eye-rolling skepticism. Precious few films in recent years have warranted the steep ticket prices, and this summer has been no exception.

With all the films of my childhood being needlessly resurrected, I’ve been yearning for something original and singular in style. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood gave me exactly that. It’s signature Tarantino–sexy, fun, slightly askew. It’s especially suited for anyone obsessed with Hollywood in the 1960’s and The Manson killings. Watch the final trailer below for proof:

As the credits rolled, my husband and I turned to each other, each with that glazed look two film lovers have when they’ve been transported by a movie and can talk of nothing else on the car ride home.

It’s the only movie I’ll see this summer, and I might just watch it a few  more times before it’s pushed out of theaters to make room for the next remake.
