Are you a fan of Rick and Morty or Bigmouth? The more risqué and crasser, adult cartoons? Then you’ll love what Warner Bros and DC comics are cooking up!

The sexy super-villain Harley Quinn is stepping into the fore-front in her own cartoon series. There is something for everyone with a hark back to her original jester costume. Also, we see her blue and pink dip-dyed hair made popular by Margot Robbie.

Harley is coming into her own in this animated series. We follow her trying to become the criminal kingpin after breaking off her relationship with the Joker. Scenes in the trailer show Quinn beating the Joker with a baseball bat. We don’t blame after we see him push Dr. Quinzel into the vat of acid that bleaches her skin and turns her into Harley.

Looks like the series will explore Harley’s bisexuality as well as Poison Ivy is seen falling onto Quinn and them sharing a moment. Ivy and Quinn’s relationship was explored in the DC comics but in the Suicide Squad film we only saw Harley’s fatal relationship with the Joker. Therefore, it will be refreshing to see sexuality being explored here.

The real femme-fatal is starring in her own series

Alongside Harley, obviously, we see Batman make an appearance as well as some other famous and infamous characters. These include, Catwoman, The Scarecrow and the Cape Crusader. The cast is impressive featuring Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Tony Hale and Wanda Sykes.

This show is a breath of fresh air with Harley being a strong (but don’t forget, psychotic) female lead and exploration of sexuality. It involves strong language and violence, but adult cartoons have proven to be popular and very funny. We can’t wait to see how this turns out when it comes to the DC UNIVERSE digital service!
