What are we all going to do once Game of Thrones ends and we don’t know what to watch next? HBO has us covered (again) with its adaptation of Watchmen, which premieres in the fall of 2019. Good old HBO, never missing a beat.

Originally published in the 1980s as a comic book series, Watchmen depicts a superhero trope in which the characters alter the course of history. The comic book received both critical praise and commercial success upon release. Numerous adaptations of the story have since been made including films (both animated and non), motion comics, and a recently announced HBO TV series. While the film variations received mixed reviews, the TV series – based on the trailer alone – looks to be incredibly entertaining. Take a look.

Below is a plot summary:

“Set in an alternate history where ‘superheroes’ are treated as outlaws, this drama series from executive producer Damon Lindelof embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground on its own.”

Sounds exciting, huh? The series is also loaded with stars: Don Johnson, Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Jean Smart, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Tom Mison, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., and Sara Vickers. Even if you weren’t a fan of the original Watchmen comics, this looks like a great series to binge. GoT who?

HBO knows how to churn out quality content. Here are some other shows for you to watch.
