Fans of Game of Thrones has made their feelings for the final season very known following last week’s finale. Now one of the stars of the show has joined in on the action.
Kit Harrington — who played Jon Snow — had a special message for the fans and critics who didn’t enjoy the final season of Thrones, “they can go fuck themselves.”
So many people were unhappy with the ending to the show that over one million people have signed a petition calling for a remake of the final season. Harrington doesn’t seem pleased by this.
“I know how much work was put into this … how much people cared about this … how much pressure people put on themselves and I know how many sleepless nights working or otherwise people had on this show,” said Harrington.
Yeah, yeah, yeah Kit. We know a lot of people worked on the show, and I’m sure they all cared a lot, blah, blah, blah. But let’s just call a spade a spade, Kit. Over a million people are signing a petition to trash what you just did so that it can be redone. So, chances are it wasn’t very good.
I’m sure a lot of people worked hard on Star Wars Episode I. Was that a good movie? No. I bet a lot of people stayed up late working on the movie Holmes and Watson. Was that a good movie? No.
We know almost everybody probably worked hard on this, but just accept the fact that it probably just wasn’t good.
Now there’s a reason I said, “almost everybody.” The writers for the show, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are also the writers for one of the new Star Wars movies a few years away. Is it possible that maybe they had their minds on that and not Game of Thrones? Perhaps. I not going to say they got lazy and didn’t care, but maybe they just had their focus in the wrong place at the wrong time.
