Ever find that you’re in that purgatory of that change between daytime/nighttime tv? Watching something like Storage Wars to fill the time.

Trick question, we all have. In case you haven’t here is the premise of Storage Wars: a group of ‘colourful’ characters bid on unknown storage lockers in hopes that they will uncover some major loot inside. Obviously, this usually never happens. Often people in the show will end up with some old shoes or newspapers, but like anything, if you stay with the show long enough, you might find something.

Dan Dotson, the show’s auctioneer, revealed in a video a guy bought a storage unit worth $500 and found $7.5 million, in cash, inside of it. I repeat $7.5 million in cash. Just imagine the joy of spending your life salvaging and searching through junk to find a huge payday like this.

Here is the incredible story:

An older Asian woman at the table next to me kept looking at me like she wanted to tell me something. Eventually she walked up and told me her husband works with a guy who bought a unit from me for $500 and found a safe inside.

The first person they called to open it, I guess couldn’t or didn’t. They called a second person and when that person opened it up… inside the safe they’re normally empty, but this time it wasn’t empty. It had $7.5million (£5.8m) cash inside.

7.5 million inside of a unit, I don’t think you’d forget it, but maybe you were just in a position where somebody else was in charge of it, I don’t know.

I do not think anyone would forget something like this.
