Therefore, the state of New York has decided to rename a portion of St James Place between Gates Avenue and Fulton Street to commemorate the rapper. It has been approved by the local unit government of New York City and is on its way to the city council and the mayor.

Christopher Wallace Way’ should be underway in the early months of next year. Perhaps on the 47th birthday of the rapper – 21st May 2019. LeRoy McCarthy stated: “It symbolizes a culture. It symbolizes a borough. It symbolizes a people, and hip-hop is worldwide.”
