Videos and posts about a “High-Value woman” have been seen all over social media. What does being a “High-Value woman” entail? Is there empowerment to living this lifestyle? Or is there pressure to be a “High-Value woman”? Learn to take advice for yourself without any external pressure.
What is this “High-Value Woman” thing about?
This is a popular self-improvement concept regarding women having strong self-worth, independence, emotional maturity and high standards for interpersonal relationships.
A woman who is of “high-value” is always trying to become a better version of herself. She spends time valuing herself and prioritizing her mental health, self-care, and overall wellbeing. Her body and mind are treated like assets with the utmost care.
If she does not make time to care for herself, she will be stressed out. She usually takes time out of her day to make sure she is doing well. This is a part of self-love and respect.
For her, her goals are important to her and is constantly thinking about her future. Even if she does not get congratulated for her achievements, it does not bother her. Internal validation is her foundation, not external validation.
Likes on social media, attention, or lack of compliments do not lower her self-worth because she is able to self-soothe. She already knows who she is and still loves herself.
Her relationship endeavors
According to Refinery29, a high-value woman positions themselves to attract the interests of high-value men.
She is able to set up healthy boundaries and say no to situations that do not serve her or her standards. Her identity is her own, and she maintains a life separate from her relationship.
While dating, she prioritizes consistency over chemistry. This can mean evaluating their emotional availability, behavior, and actions.
A woman with healthy boundaries is not afraid of being alone and holds the belief that true happiness comes from within. She will not waste her time on a man out of fear of being single.
“A high-value woman knows that she’s enough. She doesn’t need to be validated by anyone else, and she certainly doesn’t depend on others for happiness or the love that she needs.” Alexa rose said in a Medium article.
In social settings, which can include friends and colleagues, she is one to listen more than speak. She observes others around her and their emotions due to her high intelligence.
When it comes to interaction with other women, she is not competitive. When she sees another woman doing something great, she is inspired. Instead of sulking and jealousy, she is able to self-soothe.
How has social media pushed this?
Social media has branded what a high-value woman looks like with materialistic things. High-value refers to self-respect, standards, emotional intelligence and discipline.
TikTok videos might show the high-value woman aesthetic to be expensive restaurants, designer handbags, solo travel, and dark, feminine makeup. When viewers view this, they also see it as a physical look.
For viewers consuming this, they may start to feel motivated and inspired. They may tend to look more at the aesthetic and feel inadequate; therefore, they feel the need to compete. Competing with others is against the values of the high-value woman.
For example, this TikTok video features the dark-feminine and classy aesthetic with the caption that speaks about what a high-value woman does and does not do.
Being yourself with high-value qualities
There might be pressure in being a high-value woman due to social media and peers; however, think of what high-value means to you. The high-value woman is able to have boundaries, does not live off attention, and loves herself.
Videos may demean women who have a hard time following some of these qualities. At the end of the day, we are all human and not always perfect, so we might not check every mark.
YouTuber Tonya Leigh explains that starting off, women should know that they are valuable regardless, because they are human. She also believes that the value you are given is a reflection of the value you give yourself.
Leigh believes there is a misconception around what a high-value woman looks like. Clothes are a prime example because they do not always mean someone is of high value. Being high-value does not take your own identity or self-expression away.
“I have been around many women wearing the best clothes, who could articulate beautifully, and they still don’t feel high value.” Leigh said.

Following the rules of being high-value does not require a certain look or aesthetic to be able to have self-worth and boundaries. High-value women exist everywhere, no matter what they look like or their goals.
It may be difficult to set boundaries with other people and learn to love yourself. Being a High-Value woman is not something that happens overnight.
