Inspired by the Royal Navy’s mission into uncharted waters, ‘The Terror’ is set to be released soon on AMC. Based on the novel written by Dan Simmons, the series will follow the tragic Arctic expedition which occurred in the 19th century.

The ship became lost in the Arctic and led to 129 men never returning to their families. The horror show depicts what Simmons thought to have happened to the men in their attempt to survive the freezing temperatures. However, as men begin to die it is thought that a terrifying bear-like creature is stalking them like prey.
