With its most recent fantasy series, Lockwood & Co., Netflix has bought us ghost-haunting. Three teenagers named Lucy Carlyle (Ruby Stokes), George Karim (Ali Hadji-Heshmati), and Anthony Lockwood (Cameron Chapman) are the main protagonists of a television series set in an alternate world of London that is filled with massive ghost hauntings. The trio owns and operates their own ghost-hunting business, but things rapidly become dangerous when a fresh investigation arises.

A set of young adult novels by Jonathan Stroud inspired the new supernatural thriller “Lockwood & Co.” Fans of the supernatural and mysteries would love this series since it was well-written and executed. The music is one feature that enhances these shows even more. Joe Cornish, well known for his performance on Ant-Man, wrote the script and directed the production of “Lockwood & Co.” The Screaming Staircase and The Whispering Skull, the first two books in the series by Stroud, served as the inspiration for the first season. The novel’s fans praised the adaptation, saying they were thrilled with it and that it exceeded their expectations.

Can’t Leave the Night, by the Canadian instrumental band BADBADNOTGOOD, represents the show’s theme song. It gives the show a spooky vibe, and viewers should pay special attention to the opening section since it tells more about the Problem’s beginnings. The spooky atmosphere of the series is enhanced by the fantastic early ’80s post-punk bands that make up the soundtrack.

Songs such as The Cure, Siouxsie, and the Banshees, Bauhaus, and This Mortal Coil are also played for the audience. The series’ songs contribute to the stunning cinematography’s ability to create a sense of darkness, which gives the scenes a more ghostly appearance. The music’s mood has been characterised as romantic darkness by its creator Joe Cornish.
