Mafia Fugitive Caught After Posting Italian Cooking Videos to YouTube

Dare I say: “Revenge is a dish best served cold”?

Apparently, his cooking skills are worth the risk. Mafia fugitive Marc Feren Claude Biart was found by the police due to videos he would upload to YouTube on Italian cooking. The 53 year old criminal did not show his face in the videos, but unfortunately for him his specific body tattoos that were visible gave him away.

He was found and arrested in the Dominican Republic and has since been extradited to Italy. Biart is an alleged member of the ‘Ndrangheta gang and wanted for “trafficking cocaine into the Netherlands” under the Cacciola clan.

The fugitive was apparently living on the down low since 2014 in Boca Chica. I am sure the meals are delicious if he was willing to risk his hiding spot for them!

The ‘Ndrangheta gang controls a majority of the cocaine going into Europe, and is therefore one of the most powerful gangs in the world. It is ironic that this fugitive’s fall was initiated from the concept of tasty powdered Parmesan cheese, rather than the white powder he was in trouble for all along.

He was on the run for 7 years, so really, if you think about it YouTube deserves some kind of reward for helping police find this guy!

We can assume that ‘Ndrangheta is not pleased with Biart, but maybe a delicious meal could sway some of the members? I guess this really begs the question – how many fugitives are you actually subscribed to on YouTube? At the end of the day, a delicious recipe is a delicious recipe!

This really makes you think – what is your biggest passion in life that you would risk getting caught for? If you found this article interesting, check out this one on the US Army Base in Japan reportedly poisoning drinking water of 450,000 people.
