There seems to be a big divide between meat-eaters and vegans. You’re either all in or all out but VeganLiftz is trying to persuade hardcore meat lovers to go vegan for a month and is paying £2,000 entice you. With that in mind, perhaps the vegan lifestyle doesn’t sound so bad after all.

Is this a joke?

No, this is not a joke. VeganLiftz hopes to promote and educate people about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle. They want to demonstrate the health and fitness benefits of following a plant-based lifestyle and believe the best way to do this is through a real-life case study and for that they need your help! (That is if you’re a self-professed carnivore.)

How does the case study work?

VeganLiftz will choose three people to partake in their study for which they’ll create onsite case studies. In these, they’ll demonstrate the health and fitness benefits as well as the drawbacks of switching to a vegan diet so that readers can make an informed decision on whether it might be an option for them.

The three candidates need to be people who have been on a meat-heavy diet for at least a year and have to live in one of the top five cities, which has the most meat consumers. These places include Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, Liverpool and London. You must also be between 18 and 60 years old and have no underlying health conditions.

If you’re one of the three participants you’ll have to follow a vegan diet plan for one month and will have to complete a health and fitness check at the start and end of the study. This will include taking before and after pictures. Other than that you’ll be living your life as normal and enjoy the benefits of your new plant-based diet.

So what are the benefits of the vegan lifestyle?

Below are just three benefits of living the vegan lifestyle but you can read about others in more detail here.

  1. Living a plant-based lifestyle can reduce the risk of Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and provides a reduced risk of Cancer
  2. Following a vegan diet can improve your mood
  3. Your skin will be healthier as products such as dairy can cause problems such as acne

Are you convinced yet?
