Drive-Thru Strip Club Emerges Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic

They say necessity is the mother of innovation, and during this pandemic, the most necessary thing has been social distancing. That leaves room for innovation.  Well, there’s a strip club in Oregon that embraced the change and created something original: a drive-thru strip club.

When first adjusting to the safety requirements of the virus, the club settled on delivery service. But as the quarantine dragged on, someone had a new idea to draw in customers. Starting Friday night, the Lucky Devil Strip Lounge opened its socially distanced and certainly one-of-a-kind drive-thru strip club.

Patrons who order food from the joint receive a show while picking up their orders. The women who work at the strip club dance alongside the road with buckets to collect tips. They wear masks and dance on poles blocked off by small fences.

A live DJ plays music, accompanied by a light show. The experience looks surreal, and it certainly is a unique, unprecedented spectacle. And to top it all off, the club has a prize giveaway that includes toilet paper and even cannabis from a nearby dispensary.

The pictures and videos of this business are unreal. The lighting, the masks, and the overall idea itself brings to mind any and every apocalyptic film to date. But, hey, I guess that’s the world we live in now.

Whether or not you support strip clubs and the people who work at them, there is something to be said about this business stunt. Every person who works at the Lucky Devil continues to make money during this crisis. That’s more than can be said about many companies, even some multinational corporations.

If you’re from that area, consider ordering some food to see the experience for yourself. Or for more on the virus, check out this article.
