In a video for their YouTube channel, Gold Shaw Farm talks through the process of training their dog to guard the farm’s livestock from predators.
He begins by explaining the threat to the livestock posed by coyotes and bobcats. The video talks through the stages of getting the dog – including some incredibly cute videos of their dog as just a puppy – all the way to training.
The video, which has already garnered over a quarter of a million views, was only uploaded at the beginning of December.
Viewers have enjoyed the look into the dog’s life. One viewer commented:

It seems people may be watching the video more for the cute dog than for training tips. I can’t really blame them.
