Five time Olympic gold-medalist Katie Ledecky has made a slash on twitter with a video of her swimming the length of a pool with a glass of chocolate milk balanced on her head.
Katie Ledecky has the impressive status of obtaining the most gold medals of any female swimmer in history, with 5 Olympic gold medals and 15 championship golds. In a comic nod to this reputation, she uploaded a video to twitter on Monday of her participation in the “gotmilkchallenge”, a TikTok trend in which you have to do “something amazing” with a glass of milk.
Though she pokes fun of herself with the caption to her video, “Possibly one of the best swims of my career(~open for debate~)”, she swims the 50m length without spilling a single drop of the milk.
When she reaches the end, she nonchalantly takes a drink from the glass in a comedic shrug to how easily she executed an extremely difficult challenge.
It seems Ledecky’s inventive take on this trend is catching on already, as other swimmers on twitter have jumped onto the hashtag.
This support is not just from one direction, Ledecky has been showing her own amazement at other people taking on her challenge by sharing their attempts to her Instagram story.
Her fans had an extremely positive response, calling the video “incredible” and “amazing”.
