A new trailer combines one of the most re-watched sitcoms with Netflix’s latest hit ‘You’. Who knew ‘The Office’ could be so creepy?

I’m sure by now the majority of you have binge-watched Netflix’s favorite psychological thriller ‘You’. If you are thinking about what should I watch now, don’t worry I’ve got you sorted! If you are looking for something similar then you will LOVE how ‘The Office’ has taken on their own attempt at this popular show! This creepy new trailer has fans begging for more.

So what do you think? Is it creepy enough for you? In my opinion, the trailer just shows how this trending obsession with stalkers can apply to any show. The editors really do work wonders with this trailer and I am sure I speak on behalf of all of us when I say we want more!

What is ‘The Office’?

Although it has been off the air since 2013, it has definitely kept their huge audience as it’s been a big hit on Netflix. The show is an American mockumentary that features a group of office workers who go through hilarious misadventures at the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.

One of the main characters, Dwight Schrute represents You’s psychologically disturbed protagonist, Joe Goldberg. He is meant to play the role of your typical nice boy next door whilst he’s a hard-working salesman. Dwight is determined to get what he thinks he deserves… He wants to have Angela. His innocent colleague doesn’t have a clue what she is in for.

Disturbing. Dangerous. And Deadly. What more can you ask for? It’s almost terrifying how well it works… Dwight’s character perfectly aligns with Joe’s and it has had fans begging for more! Dwight as a serial killer has really appealed to both current fans and new fans.

What Do The Fans Think?

Although the clip is only two minutes, it does an excellent job of portraying Dwight as an unstable loner who has a dangerous obsession with Angela. It really does capture the essence of our favourite psychological thriller! Many fans were very complimentary about the clip and were impressed at how realistic it seemed as the editors blended the two genres.

Most fans love how ‘The Office’ feels both fresh and nostalgic at the same time! It’s still very relevant even though it ended in 2013. It just shows how popular the show is. Their Marketing/Social Media team are definitely keeping up with all the latest trends and this has worked in their favour! What will we see next from them? Who will Dwight play in the future?

For those of you that haven’t seen ‘The Office’, now is the time to start. Head on over to Netflix and give it a go… The Christmas holidays are approaching and I am certain that you will have plenty of time to relax and start a new show. Treat yourself to some good entertainment and you might just find your new favourite show!
