Even though Simon Cowell loathes karaoke singers, he couldn’t help but smile, dance and give Andy a “yes”.

The rest of the judges were all for it: Julianne Hough called it “brilliant,” and Gabrielle Union claimed “it was so wrong, it was right.”

Rowell explains that he was always surrounded by music but his first time singing was at a karaoke bar. “It makes me feel, alive” said Rowell.

The first few seconds of Rowell’s performance was awkward, but soon the audience started to cheer, clap, and dance along.

“I’m hoping that at least my voice will at least somehow change his perspective” said Rowell when asked what he is going to do to win Simon over.

Rowell got four “yes” and is going to the next round.
