Tinder Launches Festival Mode

Tinder will now help you hook-up at festivals with their new Festival Mode! Because everyone knows that everybody has trouble finding sex at festivals!

On May 2nd, Tinder announced on it’s official blog that it would be launching a Festival Mode. Naturally, millions of people rejoiced. World peace was achieved. All’s well ends well.

Just kidding. People are generally unimpressed with the whole thing. Some of them even poking fun at the feature by mentioning the recent “herpes” outbreak at Coachella and asking if this was the cause.

What exactly is Festival Mode, though? Tinder will match users automatically with people going to the same festival as you. Currently, this newly launched feature only works with certain festivals:

Users can enable the feature on their accounts through a full-screen advertisement that appears when logging onto Tinder. The screen will look something like this:

Users will gain access to event specific badges three weeks before the event begins. I sincerely doubt this feature will change much in particular, but hope springs eternal. Read more about more of Tinder’s amazing (read: not-so-amazing) features here.
