At 12:30 a.m. on Friday the 11th of October, 20-year-old American Daniel Alfredo Burleston was arrested in Iowa for using a fake ID bearing the name ‘McLovin’ to get into a bar.
For those of you yet to grasp the situation, here’s a picture to refresh your memory:
That’s right, Burleston used a replica of the fake ID used by Fogell in the 2007 movie Superbad.
Burleston was found drinking an alcoholic drink, and admitted to drinking vodka, but wouldn’t provide ID. Later, documents were provided to prove he was underage, but still he refused to show the police his fake ID. It was only when, flipping through his wallet, the Hawaiian fake ID with a date of birth of the 3rd of June 1981, was spotted.

Seth Rogan, who co-wrote the film Superbad, responded to a tweet about the situation, saying: ‘My work here is done.’
Burleston was taken into police custody that night but released later. He is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing for the possession of a fake ID on the 21st of October.
