So, the Church of Sweden has officially announced that God has no gender.
Honestly? I’m surprised this didn’t happen sooner.
Really think about it, I can’t imagine a supreme being who is the creator of the universe having much regard for human notions of gender anyway. Hell (or should I say ‘heck’?), that’s pretty much what archbishop Antje Jackelen had to say:
“We know that God is beyond our gender determinations, God is not human.”
Well, that seems perfectly reasonable, I’m sure there’s no unnecessary fear mongering of any kind as a result of t – oh wait.
Swedish church gets new gender handbook instructing bishops to not call God for "him" or "Lord"
This madness is getting out of hand.
Now it is triggering for SJWs to say Jesus is Lord because it's not "gender neutral" 😒https://t.co/mQkTTNtm3h https://t.co/8bVy0er4FG

Of course, beloved journalist PeterSweden had to chime in.
He describes it as “madness” that is “getting out of hand” which, honestly, I think is a tad of an overreaction.
But no, it’s those pesky “SJWs” who find stuff “triggering” (as an aside, isn’t it great that a term used to help mentally ill people is now a meme?).
This sort of reaction touches upon tensions in society that isn’t really all that new. Change occurs and people react to that change, sometimes not all that positively. Some people, like our friend PeterSweden, see stories like this and assume it is the decline of civilization as we know it.
Now, humanity is screwed in a lot of ways, I agree, but is this really the disease of “madness” he thinks it is? Maybe, just maybe, this isn’t the worst thing in the world to ever have happened.
Though Peter isn’t alone in this. Associate theology professor Christer Pahlmblad says this move doesn’t “respect common theology heritage”. He claimed it is “undermining the doctrine of the Trinity and the community with the other Christian churches”.
As you can see, it’s not exactly the most popular idea.
But hey, it turns out Sweden isn’t the only one to expand their understanding of things like this.
