Five nurses at Denver Health Medical Center suspended after taking a look at a deceased man’s penis.
According to the medical center’s spokesperson, Josh Rasmussen, the nurses checked him out BEFORE he passed away and once he was deceased. They were so surprised by the man’s package that they peeked at the deceased man’s genitals after the fact.
The incident came to light after another nurse, who wasn’t a part of the occurrence, overheard the involved nurses talking about the incident.
The nurse filed a formal complaint which caught the Medical Center’s attention. The Denver police came in to investigate the matter and found no indication of any crime committed. The matter was brought back to be handled by the Denver Health Medical Center for discipline.
In the end, the nurses received 3 weeks suspension and the patient’s family were notified of the occurrence according to the Huffington Post.
They say curiosity killed the cat. In this case, it led to suspension and no one was brought back.
