Don’t worry, vegans. There’s a place you can get deep-fried ice cream. A cafe now sells a deep-fried, vegan magnum.

Look yummy to you? If so, plan a trip to Australia, because this unique treat only exists at Milky Lane Cafe in Sydney. They aren’t just known for their ice cream. The cafe offers a wide range of burgers, desserts, sides, and even cocktails.

Christian Avant, the creator of the unique treat, said that “the idea behind the treat was to mimic our famous deep-fried magnums, but obviously making it vegan.”

To make the treat, dairy-free almond milk is soaked in maple syrup. Then, it is coated in biscuit crumbs, lathered in coconut milk cream, covered again with cornflakes, and then deep-fried until crispy.

“The reason we have turned to designing more vegan food was that…we wanted Milky Lane to be a place that everyone can enjoy,” said Avant.

However, according to Avant, making the cafe vegan-friendly was no small task.

“It took us a little longer than we had first hoped because we had to create separate cooking areas, source suppliers, and…make sure that everything we created was over the top and seriously mouth-watering or indulgent, as with everything we do.”

Over-the-top? Absolutely. Indulgent? You bet. Mouth-watering? You be the judge.

Curious about other vegan treats? They’re out there. Take a look at this cube-shaped vegan croissant.
