Belgian Man Receives Mysterious Free Pizza Deliveries for Almost a Decade

The food has been coming regularly for the past ten years and he is tired of it.

Food is something that brings people together. We sit around the table at the end of the day, eat and chat about what happened. We gather in the kitchen and snack and drink and laugh. It is very often said that the way to a man’s heart, is through his stomach. And perhaps that is what someone thought when they started ordering pizza for a man in Belgium.

65-year-old Jean Van Landeghem has been receiving pizzas everyday for the past nine years, but the kicker is he hasn’t been ordering them! He noticed the pizzas one random day and things have not stopped since then. Apparently things have gotten so out of hand, that poor Van Landeghem says he can no longer sleep very well!

And it is not just pizzas being delivered — he has gotten deliveries of kebabs, pitas, and other delicious items. Once, in January of 2019, TEN different delivery people showed up at Van Landeghem’s house… either he has a really big secret admirer or someone deeply loathes him. According to Food & Wine magazine, Van Landeghem has said, “I have always refused the deliveries, so I have never paid for anything.” Sounds like a headache for everyone!

A quick peek on Twitter showed that people do get surprise pizza delivery’s on occasion — these are often heart warming stories and the pizza’s are not sent with nefarious intent.

Van Landeghem feels his deliveries are out of malious intent and just wants it all to stop. Even stranger is the fact that Van Landeghem dearest friend lives 20 miles away and has been having the SAME problem. As of now, the local authorities do not have any leads as to whom the culprits could be.

What a strange mystery, one we can’t wait to see what happens. What do you think about this? Would you keep the random food deliveries? Would you send it back? Let us know in the comments!
