Unfortunately, the coronavirus is still out there in the world. It has sadly taken the life of almost 700,000 people.
Currently, the country leading the world in total deaths via the covid-19 is the United States with 158,577. That should not be a surprise, considering the United States was very quick to open back up in an attempt to stabilize the economy.
The coronavirus threat wasn’t taken as seriously as it should have been by the United States. That still remains true today. There are plenty of people disgruntled by the idea of wearing a face mask out in public (a face mask the CDC recommends by the way).
With that being said, there comes the question as to what spots in the U.S have – or have not – been wearing masks. Thanks to Reddit user bgregory98, people are now able to see.
In all honesty, I am kind of surprised at how high the mask usage is around the country. Especially down south in hot spots like Texas and Florida.
Such a commotion has been made about wearing / not wearing a mask. I would think this map would be closer to 50-50, but I guess that isn’t the case. Still, there are plenty of counties that should step up their mask game. You have some spots in Missouri, Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas.
Now, I get that people have the right to choose whether or not to wear a mask. But let me just say this: it isn’t that big of a deal.
I haven’t been really vocal about the whole mask thing, but seriously, just put it on if you step outside your house. If not for you, for other people that are afraid of catching the virus. People should care about others and having the common courtesy to put on a mask is a way to show you care. Besides, wouldn’t you rather be safe than sorry?
