Day Shift is a good, old-fashioned vampire movie that Nelfix has recently acquired, and it stars Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg as vampire hunters. This new movie was released on August 12th on Netflix.
Jamie Foxx plays the role of Bud Jablonski, a blue-collar dad who wants to help to provide for his family. Bud works as a pool cleaner during the day, but at night he works as a part of an international union of vampire hunters.
Day Shift is an urban fantasy, an action-comedy film that involves vampire-hunting horror. Foxx’s character is no longer part of the hunter’s union after he got fired for his tendency to make his own rules. He then struggles as a freelancer to meet his financial requirements. When his ex asks him to come up with the money for their daughter’s tuition, it becomes necessary for Bud to earn more cash.
Therefore, he had to get back into the union to go after the prestigious vampire bounties that come with much better rewards. Luckily, his friend Big John Elliott, played by Snoop Dogg, is willing to offer some guidance and put in a good word. Dave Franco rounds out the main cast with the character of Seth. He is a by-the-books union member who is supposed to keep Bud on the straight and narrow.
The movie runs for 1 hour and 53 minutes, and the creators have done an excellent job of keeping the audience entertained for this 2hrs.
