The White Lotus, HBO’s series, is heading into its highly anticipated second season on October 30. The first season of White Lotus had a large ensemble cast led by actors such as Sydney Sweeney, Murray Bartlett, Connie Britton, Steve Zahn, and Lukas Gage.
The second season is led by the series’ familiar favourites, Jon Gries and Jennifer Coolidge, who reprise their roles from season 1 of The White Lotus. The new season brings about some new characters played by Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, Will Sharpe, Meghann Fahy, and many more. The show is known for its dramatic turns and twists, which makes for an edge-of-your-seat mystery thriller experience, but this also begs the question: Is The White Lotus show meant for younger viewers?
The White Lotus season 2 age rating
The official MPAA age rating for the season is TV-MA, equivalent to an R rating. It’s intended for audiences 18 and over, and it is recommended that children under 17 should not watch The White Lotus season 2.
The series features a lot of sexual content. In the White Lotus season 1, viewers saw profanity as well as full-frontal male nudity, which is used heavily throughout the series. There are also some graphic jokes about sex that make their way into the storyline. Drug use is also present in The White Lotus, and we expect that to also show up in season 2.
