Stranger Things star Gaten Matazarro recently said he’d be interested in doing a Dustin and Steve spin-off of the show! Fans are getting excited as Season 4 of the hit show looms in the distance – and claims to be the most intense yet!

Gaten, who plays Dustin Henderson in Stranger Things, brought up the fantastic idea of his character and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) creating a spin-off when chatting with Entertainment Tonight. Gaten said:

I think a Dustin-Steve spinoff would be good if it were in, like, a weird niche format. Like, they didn’t do a full show of it.

Like a WandaVision type thing or like a web series type thing where on YouTube, there’s weekly episodes of little hijinks they get into, like a skit show. That’d be great. You kind of break that format… I don’t know if a Dustin and Steve full-series spinoff is sustainable. What are they going to do for a whole series, just them?

Well, what do you think? Would you watch a fun spinoff of these two, or perhaps a YouTube channel? The original show is still doing great, as it enters season 4. Gaten also spoke on the new season to US Weekly, saying:

Yikes. I think most would probably say it’s the scariest [season] out of the previous three, which I love because it’s very fun to film.

We don’t have to try too hard. We like each other, which is always a plus.

As well as having a lot of the heavy, dark stuff in the show, it’s surrounded by a lot of light-heartedness [and] a good amount of comedy. We usually have a fun time on set.

Wow, lots of exciting stuff to look forward to! If you found this article interesting, check out this one on how someone has reimagined The Simpsons as a bleak British sitcom.
