The Eternal Daughter premiered this month. Those who missed its opening weekend are curious about watching it. Here is what The Eternal Daughter is about, why it’s rated PG-13, and how to watch it.

The Eternal Daughter was released on December 2nd. The movie stars Tilda Swinton as Julie (daughter), Tilda Swinton as Rosalind (mother), Joseph Mydell as Bill, Carly-Sophia Davies as the Receptionist, and many more.

The Eternal Daughter is based on the story of a daughter and her elderly mother visiting the mother’s family home. The location is now a hotel haunted by its mysterious past and buried secrets. The objective is to bond over nostalgia and old memories, but things take a drastic and horrifying turn instead.

What is The Eternal Daughter’s age rating?

The movie is rated PG-13. The movie doesn’t have the R-rating most A24 films are accustomed to, but because it’s a mystery thriller, it’s PG-13.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, the movie is PG-13 because of the involvement of “some drug material,” and that is all that’s noted.

Even then, we know it’s a movie we can watch with our older kids if we want. And those who relish bigger horrors and thrills, don’t let the PG-13 rating stop you. Critics appreciated Tilda Swinton’s performance before the movie arrived at the theatres. Swinton is a brilliant actress, so I’m not surprised she nailed both roles.

Where can you stream the movie The Eternal Daughter?

The movie is currently playing in some selected theatres. However, it is also available on VOD and can be purchased or rented on Amazon Instant Video, Vudu, and other services.
