The last time we heard from chlothegod was 2023 with her debut EP Nearly Straight. Her last project spawned fan favorites “Camille” and “UGOMDN”. In 2025, chlothegod is clocking back in with her latest project, I Feel Different Everyday. With pre-release singles, “Why Would I”, “Digging Around”, and “My GF H8s Me”, chlothegod has offered a glimpse into her new EP, keeping fans eagerly awaiting its release.

After months of anticipation, the time has finally come. Chlo has been teasing this EP since August 2024, keeping fans on edge. She’s no stranger to dropping hints—she even uploaded a clip of “Stuck In My Ways” before the first single was out. But at last, we’re here. A new project. Let’s get into it.

I Know What Everyone Says About Me

Opening the EP, “I Know What Everyone Says About Me” starts as an emotional ballad—until it isn’t. With almost a minute left, the track shifts, and Chlo takes back the narrative explored throughout the song. Before the shift, the song is at a low tempo and discusses how Chlo is aware of the things people may be saying about her. After the break, she’s reclaiming her power, fully proving everyone wrong. She exclaims, ‘I gave up so much, but not the regret.’ Overall, this track serves as a strong opener that sets up the EP perfectly.

I Swear

In “I Swear”, Chlo reminds us she’s over it and focused on herself. This might be the most relatable track, as she repeatedly insists she’s moved on—something that could apply to any kind of relationship. As the song progresses, she details the things she would do and asserts, ‘There are rules up in this house.’ She’s protecting her peace and prioritizing herself, as we all should. This message rides in on a light, fun beat with crisp sonic production that reinforces its theme.

In “Digging Around”, Chlo appears to find herself in a mental battle with her thoughts, something all of us can relate to. She’s realizing things about herself and showing her vulnerability. ‘I’m like 6 am construction out your window. Work in progress, just moving too slow.’ The track has an upbeat energy, making these realizations and decisions feel cathartic yet a bit lighthearted.

The bridge is one of my favorite moments from the EP—Chlo lets everything out, which she’s so good at. This song is pure chlothegod, something you could weirdly dance to or throw a hammer through the window to, all wrapped in sonic and vocal perfection to capture this moment in your life.

Why Would I

On “Why Would I”, Chlo calls out what appears to be an ex-lover or friend. She holds nothing back, confronting them in the most intellectual way possible. Lyrics like, ‘Promise I could give a fuck about your true intentions, let’s keep it elementary. You weren’t there when I needed you to be,’ shows her taking a step back from the relationship. This is a realization that she was the one who was wronged and has every right to be upset. This track has a rich, sonic landscape that makes it insanely catchy—one of the standout moments of the EP. “Why Would I” is a prime example of Chlo’s best work.

My GF H8s Me

“My GF H8s Me” takes an off-kilter approach compared to the rest of the tracks, which is exactly what makes it a standout. This track has a grittier, more angsty style than the others and features rawer vocals from Chlo. Full of life and emotion, lyrics like, ‘I’m my girlfriend’s least favorite person on earth. You’d think I stole from her purse. You think I killed both her cats, all I did was ask, “If I’m your least favorite person on earth,”‘ demonstrates Chlo’s frustration with her partner and the emotions that come with it. This song is intoxicatingly interesting, serving as a much-needed release for the frustration she’s expressing.

I Feel Different Every Day

The title track is a tranquil, reflective piece about Chlo’s upbringing and her relationship with herself. We glimpse inside her mind with lyrics like, ‘Deleting pictures because something’s missing.’ In true chlothegod fashion, there’s always an unexpected switch-up. Similar to the opener, Chlo shifts the beat toward the end, belting in raw, powerful vocals, ‘Where’s my guardian angel? Where’s my seat at the table?’ This transition in both lyrics and sound amplifies the raw emotions and angst at the core of “I Feel Different Everyday”.

Stuck In My Ways

“Stuck In My Ways” opens with warm, bright sonics and soft vocals—only for Chlo to counter them with cynical lyrics like, ‘If I had one wish, I’d wish for a car to run you over.’ This kind of juxtaposition is something she does so well, enhancing the impact of her message. The track explores the feeling of being stuck, whether mentally or physically, yet she finds strength in it. This track is another stellar cut from the EP sure to be a fan favorite.

Where To Find Chlothegod Next

At the heart of I Feel Different Everyday, we get an unfiltered glimpse into who chlothegod really is. This EP marks a clear evolution from her last project, showcasing growth in her lyrics, vocals, and sonic choices. It embodies everything chlothegod stands for. This project is a testament to the few years we’ve missed of her presence in the industry.

Chlothegod’s I Feel Different Everyday is everything we’ve been waiting for. As for what’s next, be sure to catch chlothegod on her debut solo headline tour this spring.
