Blink 182 Being Sued By Fyre Festival

This is a lawsuit that Billy McFarland should definitely not expect to win, given the evidence.

The Fyre Festival was an iconic event back in 2017, but for all of the wrong reasons. Billy McFarland, the CEO of Fyre Media Inc. set-up this fake music festival to promote his company but it was really just a way to take people’s money. Most of the artists and celebrity guests are being sued for not showing up or for giving poor performances. Many are wondering how McFarland thinks he is really going to win this fight but we’ll have to see.

According to timw_brap (sickchirpse.com) two documentaries have come out in 2019 about this festival and the sham of a person he really is. For Blink-182, one of the artists on the list, they are being sued and are expected to “pay back their deposit of $500,000 because they never showed up to play and it was part of Billy McFarland’s plan to defraud investors” (sickchirpse.com 1). I agree with timw_brap…how does McFarland expect to win these cases when all he did was set this up to take people’s money?! Below is a video from ABC Nightline all about the event.

This is so crazy, right? Even after he was being sued, McFarland was still doing stupid things! He didn’t have to go to jail, he was out of bail, and yet that did not stop him. Honestly, serving a six year sentence for how much money he cost everyone is simply not enough. Maybe the more these artists an attendees fight back, maybe a more severe sentence is forthcoming. For now, we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully, Blink-182 and the other artists will be able to win their cases.

The international sequel to the 2018 heist film isn't an improvement or downgrade. Den of Thieves 2 continues the franchise's trashy vibe.
