The recently turned 93-year-old has been providing us with nature documentaries since the 1950s, and now we can enjoy his earliest adventures on IPlayer.

Okay first of all, I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing Sir David many happy returns as he begins his 93rd turn around the globe.

Yes, I know his birthday was several days ago now, and yes he’ll probably never read this, but all appreciation for this man is necessary, okay?

You’re probably all familiar with some of Attenborough’s most infamous documentaries, such as Blue Planet, Planet Earth, Dynasties, and most recently, Our Planet.

If you aren’t, I strongly suggest you take a trip to your sofa, grab a cuppa, and get watching, it is the perfect way to spend the day, I can assure you.

Even for those of us who are well seasoned in the naturalist’s incredible work however, might not have seen some of his most early shows, especially given that a lot of us weren’t even born when he began his adventures.

That’s right, the BBC has uploaded David Attenborough’s first documentaries to IPlayer. So it seems like I too, will be spending my day on the sofa.

You can begin by watching his first ever series, Zoo Quest, before following that up with People of Paradise, The Miracle of Bali, Elsa the Lioness and Adventure.

Even though I haven’t watched any of these yet, I can already 100% guarantee that after watching these, your heart will be warmed, and your love for arguably the greatest man alive will have reached a whole new level.

Honestly, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the BBC for such a kindly gesture, you have really outdone yourself. I’m tearing up, truly.

As if all that wasn’t enough, there’s a new Muhammed Ali documentary coming to HBO, you can check out the trailer here.
