Betty Whites lawyer has revealed the 99-year old’s last words after she passed away on New Years Eve
The renowned actress passed away just weeks before her one-hundreth birthday which would have taken place later in the month.
Countless fans and friends have paid their respects to The Golden Girls star after her agent revealed that she had passed away due to ‘natural causes.
One of those paying their respects was long time friend and costar of Betty White, Vicki Lawarance, who reveals what the actress’ last words were before her death.
Speaking to The Holywood Reporter, the 72-year-old actress described how difficult it is to lose those we love and her sadness at the passing of her costar.
“I hadn’t been able to reach her lately”, she said, “I wrote her a long letter a while back but she did not answer, which was unlike her.”
“I knew she was not well, and this was coming, but it was still sad not to hear from her. I talked to Carol yesterday, and we agreed it is so f*cking hard to watch the people you love go away. “
“She said she spoke to Betty’s assistant, who was with her when she passed, and she said the last word out of her mouth was ‘Allen.’ That’s so lovingly sweet. I hope that is true.”
The revelation has left many on the internet in tears, with people posting pictures of White throughout her long career as an actress, making her first film debut in 1962.
Many people have also posted photos of White with her late husband Allen Ludden. The pair were married in 1963 until his death from cancer in 1981.
Shortly after the actress’ death, rumours began to circulate that the 99-year-old had died due to complications shortly after receiving her booster jab– theories that White’s agent, Jeff Witjas, has dismissed as “not true”.
“Betty died peacefully in her sleep at her home,” says Witjas.
“People are saying her death was related to getting a booster shot three days earlier, but that is not true. She died of natural causes. Her death should not be politicized — that is not the life she lived.”
The funeral of Betty White will be a private affair, her family have said.
