The current lockdown has everyone on edge and looking for something to do. Some people take up new hobbies, look into online classes or establish a social media platform. As a result, filmmaker, Louis Theroux, has created a new podcast, ‘Grounded’ that will feature well known celebrities from the UK and US.
‘Grounded with Louis Theroux’ will highlight the psyche of high-profile individuals he is interested in interviewing during the current lockdown.
The first guest on Theroux’s podcast will be with writer and documentary-maker, Jon Ronson who is located in Upstate New York. They will be touching on the subjects of how Jon is handling the lockdown, the entertainment world, and even their professional rivalry.
Other celebrities like Boy George, Lenny Henry, and Mariam Margoyles are also confirmed to make an appearance on the podcast. Hopefully the progression of the show presents more known celebrities in the future.
The hour long episodes are set to begin on April 27 on BBC Sounds which will be Theroux’s first commission for his new production outfit Mindhouse Productions.
This is what Louis Theroux had to say about “Grounded”:
“I’ve really loved doing these interviews. It’s been a chance to speak to people I admire and have in depth conversations with them, about their lives, their careers, and their most intimate feelings…
Making a podcast and radio series is very different than my usual way of working. And for that reason, I’ve found it very fun and refreshing”

Well let’s add that to the list of quarantivities. Sounds like something to tune into during this lockdown.
