Kanye West’s latest release from Adidas, the YEEZY 450 in Cloud White, sold out in under one minute after the release on 6 March.
YEEZYs have always been in high demand and the anticipation for the 450s began when West wore them in Paris last year.
The shoes went live at 7am Saturday morning and were gone by 7:01. Many were frustrated when they could not find even log in to the Adidas app nor see the shoes on YeezySupply.com.
The shoes retailed about $200. If you wanted to cop a pair and didn’t manage it, don’t fret! They’re already being resold (for four times the original price, of course).
People took to Twitter to express their discontent with the app and their inability to get a pair of 450s.
But others on Twitter bashed the shoe for its, well, interesting design.
Perhaps the hate stems from a place of bitterness. As one Twitter user wrote: People talkin s*it bout Yeezy 450 but tryna cop on the low.”
