Even Gucci is interested in what the stars can tell us.
Astrology is the art of reading and interpreting the stars, long believed to be some form of divinity. Studies into the celestial have a long history over centuries old. So, fairly impressive, right?
Except now it’s more commonly thought of as a pseudoscience. Awkward.
Though it may have lost credibility as an academic study, astrology remains a popular trend. It might be dumb but hey, it’s fun too.
It’s no wonder then that this trend is also pretty hot in the fashion industry too. Brands – from Gucci to Vetements – have jumped on this.

Vetements is a French clothing brand with a youthful demographic. I gotta say, it’s a pretty good idea to make use of zodiac signs. If you’ve ever seen a Buzzfeed quiz, even in passing, you’ll know that millennials love this shit.
Zodiac signs have nailed fashion marketability. They’re vague enough to fit anyone but just specific enough to make you feel special. I’m gonna conform to stereotypes now and say that, as a Virgo, the above shirt totally describes me! (Just kidding I wouldn’t do that to you.)
And Gucci got in on the fun too, revealing their Year of the Dog collection. This relates to Chinese astrology; there are 12-year-long cycles of animals, all of which represent various traits, in correspondence to the Chinese calendar.
This year happens to be about a dog. The traits are what you’d expect: reliability, honesty, and loyalty. If you’re a fan of astrology, Chinese mythology, or fashion, this line-up may have something for you.
Before you go, make sure you stay up-to-date with the great ugg debate of 2018.
