This new business venture is set to expand the rapper, producer and record executive’s cool one billion dollars that he is estimated to be worth.

Jay-Z is not the first rapper to branch out into the marijuana business,  following in the footsteps of names such as Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, 2 Chainz, The Game, Lil Wayne, Drake and the list smokes on. The new line entitled ‘Monogram’ is said to ‘redefine what cannabis means to consumers today’. The Californian company Caliva, where Jay-Z became a brand strategist last July, is set to release this new branded batch of cannabis.

The Monogram company describes it’s process in a weaving of words which just leaves you hungry:

From soil to seed, the expert growers at Monogram leverage a lifetime of cultivation experience to ensure our flower is treated with the respect it deserves through every stage of the grow process. Precise control and constant monitoring allow our flower to reach its full potential as a superior smoke.

From signature fashion lines, fragrance launches and cookbooks, it was only a matter of time before the trend of signature cannabis lines became a trend. With the legalisation of weed across many American states, this finance savvy enterprise seems like a money-maker, if I am speaking bluntly. Check out the website here.
