Unfortunately. the 33-year-old model was found dead on August 29, 2021 at the Cortland Apartments following a welfare check, which has now been suspected to be a murder-suicide.
Janae Gagnier was not the only one found inside the Cortland Apartment. A man identified as 34-year old Kevin Alexander Accorto was among the deceased according to Richmond police.
While Accorto is thought to be the suspect, anything is yet to be confirmed by the autopsy, according to Newsweek.
Since news of the tragedy has been made public, numerous celebrities have taken to social media to pay their respects to the late model.
Shad Moss, also known as Bow Wow, commented on her latest Instagram post stating, ‘Stop playing we just spoke on thurs dont do me like this yo! Naaa [sic].’
Rapper, Tory Lanez shared a photo of her on his story, captioned, ‘Rest in peace Queen.’
NBA G League player Sheldon Mac wrote a tribute to the model on his page:

‘We just talked on Thursday & everything was good! I knew something was wrong because u always respond! I’ll never forget the times we spent together! I’m gone miss that smile & good energy u always had no matter where we were!
Your energy and personality was unmatched! The most genuine person! We always laughed & joked with each other no matter what & that’s part of what made us close for 6 years! [sic].’
Sheldon Mac added that would be able to ‘write a damn book’ about their bond and that Janae Gagnier ‘showed [him] love in every way’.
