The devil works hard, but North West works harder…

If there’s one thing we know the Kardashian/West clan aren’t short of, it’s money. So, what about their talent? Well, that’s what daughter North West hit the headlines for this week, for all the wrong reasons.

Earlier this week, like any proud parent, Kim posted one of North’s painting to her Instagram story, with the caption, “My little artist North.”

In true Kardashian style, the internet totally lost its mind over it.

DHOTYA (did not happen of the year awards) were straight on the back of little North, posting a screengrab of the story, alongside a Google screenshot of North’s age… which is just seven years old. In the caption they wrote, “Maybe I’m wrong here because I don’t follow the Kardashians, but surely this isn’t a 7 year olds art work?”

Twitter went wild with memes, with one user writing,” Just joined a painting class and North West is my instructor.”

Another posted a picture of van Gogh’s work, The Starry Night, with the caption, “Exclusive: North West’s new painting!!”

Whilst the internet may have been a little too wild on a literal seven-year-old, with the help of Tik Tok, receipts were well and truly produced.

Despite fan’s utter disbelief at North’s Bob Ross-esque style painting, Tik Tok user Camryn Fred shared her ‘proof’ that it was North’s work all along. She went to the exact same art school and was taught by the exact same teacher, who just so happens to be her own mother.

She shared a photo in the background of her video of her aged seven with an almost identical painting which she had done in the art classes.  Camryn added that every child taught by her mother gets to paint the same scene: ‘My mum taught me how to do this, and she taught North how to paint the same one just two weeks ago.

‘She’s been an art teacher for 30 years.’

Jumping to Kim’s defence also, was TikTok user @kykykisses. Duetting another user, who said she’d need some evidence to believe North’s work, she and her friend held up two more identical painting to what North did. The caption said, “As Calabasas art kids we can confirm.”

The backlash for the painting saw Kim herself FLIP on her Instagram stories, writing ‘Don’t play with me when it comes to my children!’

‘North worked incredibly hard on her painting which took several weeks to complete. As a proud mom, I wanted to share her work with everyone. I’m seeing op-ed pieces in the media and social media from grown adults breaking down whether or not my daughter actually painted this!’

‘How dare you see children doing awesome things and then try to accuse them of NOT being awesome!?!?! Please stop embarrassing yourselves with the negativity and allow every child to be GREAT!! North West painted that PERDIOTDDDDDABCDEFGZFDT [period]!!!!!!!!’

Don’t worry Northie, we believe you.

Although the verdict is out on this one…
