The Wu-Tang Clan revolutionized rap in the mid 1990’s. The Clan, made up of group of rappers including Ghostface Killah and Method Man, became masters of creating hypnotic beats to match hard-hitting bars. The result? A product that people couldn’t get enough of. Songs like “C.R.E.A.M.” and “Protect Ya Neck”, became songs blasted over speakers throughout the United States. But soon those same songs may be blasting over speakers in South Korea, at the Wu-Tang Clan’s very own amusement park.

Yup, you read that right. According to MassLive, Vice President of Wu-Tang Management and Director of Protect Ya Neck Records Jimmy Kang is leading an effort to create a theme park entirely based on the famous New York group.

Discussions regarding the project are still ongoing, but with the aforementioned Kang being born in South Korea, people believe the park could first be launched in Seoul.

As a personal fan of rap and hip-hop, I love this idea. Imagine waiting in a line to go on a roller coaster that had a sign above it saying, “Wu-Tang Coaster Aint Nuthing ta F’Wit”.

Joking aside, the park is a great idea. But like I mentioned, the project is in its very early stages and could potentially fall apart any second. Regardless of the potential for the idea to flop, it would be awesome for fans of Wu-Tang while also bringing more hip-hop culture to Asia despite some pretty strong censorship of the genre in countries like China.
